MSF Basic RiderCourse (BRC)
The MSF Basic RiderCourse is a licensing requirement for motorcyclists in the state of Texas. This comprehensive course covers the fundamentals of motorcycle operation and safety-oriented mental strategies. Students will learn the principles of motorcycling and develop the skills and confidence necessary to operate a motorcycle safely. The course consists of an online 5-hour MSF ePackage, 11 hours of riding instruction and activities conducted over two days, and a skills test.
Advanced RiderCourse (ARC)
The Advanced RiderCourse is designed to complement your basic riding skills, focusing on personal risk assessment and hazard awareness. This one-day course includes a fast-paced classroom segment with interactive activities to enhance perception and crash-avoidance skills. Students will also participate in range exercises to improve braking and cornering techniques.
3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse (3WBRC)
The 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse is designed for riders who have decided to take the road on a 3-wheel motorcycle. This comprehensive course covers the basics of operating a 3-wheel motorcycle and safety-oriented strategies. Students will participate in five hours of classroom activities and 10 hours of on-cycle riding exercises, culminating in a knowledge and skill test.
Information for ALL Courses
All students must meet specific eligibility requirements, including age and proof of identification. Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign their paperwork. Completion of any course will earn students discounts on their motorcycle insurance and can be used for ticket dismissal.
Safety Reminders
We stress the importance of safety guidelines, including the use of safety gear, and mandatory helmet laws. Riders are required to wear approved safety equipment, including long sleeves, long pants, full-fingered gloves, boots, and eye protection.
