Our Philosophy

Our certified instructors have extensive experience teaching students to drive, and our state-certified driving school is equipped with the latest technology to ensure your safety and quality during our instruction.

Our Services

We offer a range of comprehensive driver education packages for teens and adults, including classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, and online practice tests. Our courses are designed to meet the specific needs of each student, and our flexible scheduling options make it easy to fit our classes into your busy schedule.

For teens, we offer a 30-hour classroom program and 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training, plus online practice tests to help you prepare for the DMV road skills test. Our adult pre-licensing course includes 6 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training, as well as online practice tests for the DMV road skills test.

We also offer a ticket deferral / defensive driving course for drivers who want to lower their insurance rates or remove a traffic violation from their driving record. This course is designed to teach safe driving practices and reduce the risk of accidents on the road.

Our Facilities

Our driving school is located in Mandeville, Louisiana, and we offer classes and driving sessions at our convenient location. Our state-certified instructors use our fleet of well-maintained vehicles, equipped with interior and exterior surveillance cameras and GPS tracking systems, to provide top-notch instruction.

Our History

Precision Driving Academy was founded in 2008 by Rick Gardache, Dwayne Kern, and Kerry Frederick Kern to lead the way to improve overall professional, caring driver's education services in our community. Our school has been honored to serve thousands of students over the years, and we're committed to continuing our mission of providing high-quality driver education and training.

Our Owner

Our owner, Dwayne Kern, has 24 years of experience as a driver education instructor and 28 years as a public school teacher, coach, and administrator. His dedication to providing the best possible education and training to his students is unmatched, and we're proud to have him at the helm of our driving school.
