Welcome to the Hawaii Driving Institute (HDI), a premier driver education school on the island of Oahu. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive driver education program that not only teaches the skills necessary to operate a vehicle safely, but also values the importance of responsible driving practices.
Our Program
Our driver education program is designed to meet the requirements of the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation. The program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel (BTW) instruction. Our certified instructors are dedicated to providing a safe and engaging learning environment for our students.
Teen Program
Our Teen Program is designed for new teenage drivers and their parents. The program includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of BTW instruction. Through a combination of classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training, our program aims to equip teenage drivers with the skills and knowledge necessary to become safe and responsible drivers.
Adult Program
Our Adult Program is designed for individuals who wish to obtain their driver's license or improve their driving skills. Our program offers BTW only instruction, providing individuals with the flexibility to schedule their lessons at a time that suits them.
