Kennedy Driving Schools is a leading provider of driver education services in the state of Kansas. With over 30 years of experience, we are committed to preparing students to become successful beginning drivers and lifelong defensive drivers. Our mission is to provide an academic and practical driving program that enhances the development of each student, enabling them to reach their full potential and develop a positive attitude and self-confidence in their driving abilities.

Our driving schools are owned and operated by Bill Kennedy, a seasoned educator with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kansas State University and a Masters Degree in Education from Washburn University. Bill has been a teacher for over 30 years and is the owner of the largest driving school in the State of Kansas. Our academic curriculum is centered around instruction for beginning drivers basic driving fundamentals and defensive driving philosophies.

Services Offered

At Kennedy Driving Schools, we offer a comprehensive range of driver education services, including:

• Classroom Instruction: We provide eight hours of academic classroom instruction, covering topics such as traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices. Our instructors use interactive and engaging teaching methods to ensure that students understand and retain the information.
• Behind-the-Wheel Instruction: We provide six hours of in-car, behind-the-wheel instruction, giving students the opportunity to practice their driving skills in a safe and controlled environment. Our instructors provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their driving skills.
• Parent's Guide to Teaching Your Teen to Drive Safely: We offer a comprehensive, step-by-step, and proven drivers education professional guide for parents who want to assist their teen with "Accident-free" driving instruction. Our guide covers a full range of proactive, accident prevention techniques and life-saving driving skills.
• Payment Plan: We offer a flexible payment plan, allowing students to pay for their driver education services in installments. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover, cash or check (exact amount).

English Proficiency Requirement

Due to the nature and risk associated with driving a motor vehicle and consistent with the requirements of the Kansas Driver License Bureau, Kennedy Driving Schools require that each student must demonstrate adequate proficiency in speaking and understanding English before any academic classroom or behind-the-wheel driving instruction can be provided. If English proficiency is a concern, please call our office to discuss the situation before submitting a registration or any payments.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent. If a student is not able to attend any portion of the eight hours of academic classroom instruction, and/or any portion of the six hours of in-car, behind-the-wheel instruction, the "non-refundable enrollment deposit" (50% of the tuition fee) will be kept by the school. If all tuition fees have been paid in full, the "class fee" (50% of the tuition fee) will be refunded. If the student attends any portion of the eight hours of academic classroom instruction and cannot continue the course, both the "non-refundable enrollment deposit" and the "class fee" will be kept and not refunded. Rescheduling to use non-refundable fees may be considered up to six months from the date on the student contract.
