Welcome to A Driving School of Gig Harbor, Inc., a driving school that has been serving the Puget Sound community since 1946. We are the second oldest driving school in the state and the oldest driving school on the Kitsap & Gig Harbor Peninsulas. Our school is owned and operated by local college certified instructors who are committed to teaching our friends and neighbors how to drive safely and responsibly.

We understand that choosing a driving school can be a daunting task, as there are many options available. However, at A Driving School of Gig Harbor, Inc., we stand out from the rest. We offer our students and parents 24/7 access to their accounts on any device, allowing them to follow their progress, schedule lessons, upload permits, and pay outstanding balances with ease. We also provide secure online signing for lessons and classroom sessions via smartphones, computers, or tablets.

Our instructors are teachers first and foremost, with the expertise to create atmospheres that promote persistent effort and favorable attitudes toward learning. We utilize interesting visual aids such as computer presentations, slide shows, and videos presented on a large screen projector to motivate learners and capture their attention and curiosity.

We have been successful with both teens and adults for over 50 years, and we are confident that we can provide the best driving education experience for you.

Our Courses

At A Driving School of Gig Harbor, Inc., we offer Traffic Safety Education Certificates to teenage drivers who complete our course, which exceeds state requirements. Our courses are 5-7 weeks long, and we require students to be at least fifteen (15) years old by the first class session to be eligible for enrollment.

We offer Behind-The-Wheel (BTW) sessions for an additional fee, with a $45 fee for no-shows and $65 for additional sessions needed to complete the course requirements. If a student loses or damages the textbook, there will be a $90 fee. We only issue refunds before the first scheduled class and will deduct a $35 administration fee.
